Destination Dawson City: The Yukon Field Force (1898 – 1900)
Grade 7, 8

Asynchronous with optional synchronous tour. 

Follow the progress of the Field Force as they travel to the Yukon to support the North West Mounted Police during the Klondike Gold Rush. Learn about their four-month long journey to reach Fort Selkirk and Dawson City, and explore the methods of transportation including bridges and boats built to get them there. This program is available in French.

Letters, Telegrams and Trenches: Primary Sources and the First World War
Grade 10

Asynchronous with optional synchronous tour. 

Explore a variety of primary source documents related to the First World War while learning how to read and interpret them. Students will be introduced to personal and military documents and explore what they are and how they can be biased. Students will explore hand written documents, practice interpreting and transcribing them.

To Italy and Back: Royal Canadians at War
Grade 10, 12

Asynchronous with optional synchronous tour. 

Learn about the experience of The Royal Canadian Regiment (RCR) during the Second World War. This learning resource goes through the different phases of The RCR’s experience, including the regiment’s time in Britain, the Italian Campaign, and the liberation of northwestern Europe in 1945.  It examines how technology and training changed and how the conflict is remembered today.
