Collection

Our collection is formed of a large variety of objects: regimental memorials, silverware, uniforms, medals, original art, weapons, military equipment, archives, musical instruments, etc. To fulfill its mandate, the museum continues to pro-actively collect historically significant objects and archives that are connected to The RCR history.

If you wish to donate artifacts to the museum or have inquiries about the collection, please see our FAQs or contact the Curator for an assessment.

We invite you to explore our Online Collection database, which features hundreds of museum artefact records. We will be adding new records to the Online Collection regularly as digitization efforts progress.

Research

Some of our archives may uncover information not known before on individuals, military operations or historical events. Maps, documents, certificates, photographs, manuscripts and Army publications form a vast resource for researchers, students, family members and the public at large. However, the museum archives are not part of the official network of the Canadian government public archives; therefore we do not hold personnel records. Consultation of our archives is only upon special arrangements. For research inquiries please contact our volunteer research assistant.
